Language: This notice is available in English. Upon request, we can provide a translated version in any of the 22 languages specified in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

Welcome to SolveKar. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting the data of our users ("Data Principals") across our iOS and Android platforms.

1. Indian Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Compliance

As a Data Fiduciary operating in India, we adhere to the following 2026 standards:

• Verifiable Parental Consent: Since our primary users are students, any user under the age of 18 ("Child") must have consent from a parent or lawful guardian. We implement technical measures to verify adult status before enabling Elite Scans.
• No Tracking of Minors: In accordance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, SolveKar strictly prohibits behavioral tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising directed at children.
• Right to Erasure: You have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Standard account deletion requests are subject to a 30-day cooling-off period, after which your data is permanently removed. If you require immediate deletion (without the 30-day waiting period), email us at info@solvekar.ai with the subject line "Immediate Account Deletion Request" and we will process it within 72 hours. Certain records required for legal audit may be retained as described in Section 6.
• Right to Nominate: You have the right to nominate an individual to exercise your data rights (such as data access or deletion) in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act 2023/2026.

2. AI Accuracy & "Solver" Disclaimer

SolveKar utilizes high-reasoning AI models (Gemini 3.1 series) to provide educational assistance.

3. Data Collection & "Sachet" Payments

• Personal Data: We collect your Email, Name, and preferred Exam Category to personalize your feed.
• Payment Data: For Indian "Sachet" (Micro-transaction) payments via UPI or Wallets, we use encrypted third-party gateways. We do not store your UPI PINs or bank credentials.
• Image Scans: Uploaded images are processed for OCR and physics entity extraction. Anonymized versions of common textbook problems may be cached to reduce latency for the student community.

4. Rewarded Video Ads & "Energy"

To keep SolveKar sustainable for the 90% Free Tier in India:

• Rewarded Ads: We use Google AdMob to serve Rewarded Video Ads.
• Consent: By choosing to watch an ad to "Unlock an Elite Scan," you provide explicit consent for the ad provider to process limited device identifiers for ad delivery. No personal student data is shared with advertisers.

5. Grievance Redressal (Mandatory for India)

If you have concerns about your data, or if the AI has provided an inappropriate response, you may contact our Grievance Officer as per the 2026 Digital Rules:

6. Retention & Deletion

We do not store your data longer than necessary.

• Inactive Accounts: Data for accounts inactive for more than 180 days will be automatically purged.
• Manual Deletion: You can delete your account directly via the "Profile" tab in the SolveKar app. Your account will enter a 30-day cooling-off period before permanent removal. You may cancel this by logging back in within 30 days.
• Immediate Deletion (Fast-Track): If you require immediate deletion without the 30-day waiting period, email info@solvekar.ai with the subject line "Immediate Account Deletion Request." We will process it within 72 hours as per Section 12 of the DPDP Act.
• Legal Retention: Upon deletion, Geroque Inc. retains billing/subscription transaction records and consent logs for up to 8 years as required under the Companies Act, 2013 and Income Tax Act, 1961. These records are stored securely and are not linked to any active user profile.

7. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

Data Processors

• Cloud Hosting & Storage: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Firebase is our primary data processor for cloud storage, authentication, and database services. All user data is stored on Firebase servers governed by Google's data processing terms.
• Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage patterns. Data collected is aggregated and anonymized.
• Advertising: Google AdMob is used to serve Rewarded Video Ads. Ad-related device identifiers are processed by Google under their own privacy policy.

Data Sharing Policies

• No Sale of Data: SolveKar does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
• Government Requests: We may disclose data only when required by a valid legal order from Indian courts or regulatory bodies under applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property & Ownership

SolveKar AI is a proprietary product developed and operated by Geroque Inc., a corporation duly registered and existing under the laws of Canada.

• Copyright Notice: All content, features, and functionality—including but not limited to the AI processing logic, source code, user interface designs, logos, graphics, and text (the "Work")—are the exclusive property of Geroque Inc. and are protected by Canadian and International copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• License to Use: SolveKar grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the AI service for personal, educational purposes only. Any unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, or redistribution of the Work is strictly prohibited and will be met with legal action.
• Governing Law: Any disputes arising from the use of SolveKar AI or claims regarding intellectual property shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, regardless of the user's physical location.

9. Data Security

• Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256.
• Access Control: Internal access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
• Breach Notification: In the event of a data breach, affected users and the Data Protection Board of India will be notified within 72 hours as mandated by the DPDP Act.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via in-app notification and email. Continued use of SolveKar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
